Nebraska Extension will be hosting beef cattle marketing workshops at three locations during the month of February. Join Dr. Jay Parsons, Dr. Kate Brooks, and Jim Jansen with Nebraska Extension as they present information and tools designed to help manage market risk to achieve revenue goals. Topics include:
• cost of production,
• understanding market environment
• reviewing available marketing tools.
Specific marketing tools covered during the workshop include futures and options as well as Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) Insurance. The workshop is designed to help participants develop a marketing plan that fits their situation and helps them achieve their market risk management goals.

Workshops do not have a cost for attendance and a complementary meal will be provided. Registration is required two days prior to the event to provide for an accurate meal count. Workshops are supported by the North Central Extension Risk Management Education Center and USDA/NIFA under Award Number 2012-49200-20032.
