Nebraska Extension will be offering a Beef Feedlot School at four locations:
•August 15th – NCTA Livestock Teaching Center, Curtis
•August 16th – Phelps County Ag Center, Holdrege
•August 24th – Cuming County Fairgrounds, West Point
•August 31st – Scottsbluff County Fairgrounds, Mitchell
The goal of this program is to assist with the training of feedlot employees in areas of animal health and feeding management. Topics and speakers were chosen to benefit feedlot personnel which include horse safety, psychology, equipment and use, and beef cattle nutrition and management. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. and adjourn by 5:00 p.m. Cost to attend is $20 if pre-registered by August 5th or $30 at the door. Pre-register by contacting Matt Luebbe.
