“Promiscuity, Serendipity and Metabolic Innovation” will be presented by Dr. Shelley D. Copley, professor, Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, University of Colorado Boulder.
Shelley Copley’s academic background includes an A.B. in biochemistry and a Ph.D. in biophysics from Harvard University and post-doctoral appointments at MIT and the University of Colorado. Her laboratory studies the evolution of enzymes and metabolic pathways in the context of the complex metabolic and regulatory networks in bacterial cells.
