DESCRIPTION:Rick Darke, author of The Wild Garden, will speak on “The La
 yered Landscape,” focussing on a global approach to landscape design an
 d stewardship. Darke’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Ga
 rden Design, Gardens Illustrated and on National Public Radio. He is the 
 author and photographer of many books, including The American Woodland Ga
 rden, The Encyclopedia of Grasses for Livable Landscapes and The Wild Gar
 den.  \n    Darke is the featured speaker of the 2012 Joseph & Dorothy Yo
 ung Memorial Lectures in Horticulture at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2
 3 at the Hardin Hall Auditorium, located on the East Campus of  UNL.  Doo
 rs will open at 6:00 p.m.\n Tickets are $10 for arboretum members, $14 fo
 r general public and free to UNL students with valid I.D.  Space is limit
 ed.  Tickets can be purchased in advance, online at arboretum.unl.edu/tic
 kets or by calling the arboretum office at 402/472-2971.
