Selections from the Contemporary Textile Group—also known as the CTG—will be on display in the International Quilt Study Center & Museum’s Community Showcase from September 2 to 23.
Founded in 1996 as the Contemporary Quilters, or CQ6, by six members of the Lincoln Quilters Guild, the small group has evolved, widened its scope and regrouped as the Contemporary Textile Group, or CTG. Quilting is their first love, but the group branches out into other areas of textile design, including mixed-media surface design, basketry, and fashion, home dec, and repeat design.
Current members include Marsha Conley, Diane Deahl, Anne Moore, Roxann O’Hare, Diann Sorensen, Leah Sorensen-Hayes and Lois Wilson.
The display will be showcased in the Quilt House Reception Hall.
