Kim Hahn, who earned master’s and doctoral degrees from UNL, is a celebrated educator and an award-winning designer. Hahn’s designs incorporate both Eastern and Western cultural inspirations while using various surface design techniques, such as hand weaving and digital textile printing, as well as advanced pattern development skills. The textile surface design of most of her work utilizes an optical illusion of depth and volume created by overlapping parallel gradations in two contrasting colors in an interleaving pattern.
