10:00 am May 25thSullivan Supply Grooming Clinic Cheyenne County Fairgrounds
Sullivan Supply is hosting a beef grooming clinic at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The day will be split into two parts. They will cover daily hair care from 10 - noon and fitting from 1 - 3 p.m. Participants may bring their animals. Sidney Feed is providing lunch, so the day is free. Registration is required and can be done by calling Cheyenne County Extension Office 308-254-4455.

Any 4-Her planning to exhibit any of the following must complete an ID sheet and have picked up a 4-H tag by June 1: breeding heifer, stocker feeder, bucket calves, breeding ewes and dairy goats.

If you are planning to exhibit beef, sheep, swine, poultry, goats and rabbits at the fair, you must pass the Quality Assurance Tests. Please contact the Extension Office for more details. This MUST be completed by June 1st.
8:00 am Jun 4th4-H Project Day Camps - Sidney Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp
Each participant will finish the camp with completed 4-H exhibits ready for entry day! Projects highlighted this year are Clothing I, Entomology, Photography I, and Foods. Choose between Clothing or Entomology during the 3-day morning sessions. Pack a lunch and decide to stay to participate on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for Photography. Wednesday afternoon will focus on Foods and menu planning. Participants in the Wednesday Foods Camp will prepare the evening meal for their families. Cost includes all supplies for the completed 4-H projects.

The 4-H presentation contest is frequently referred to as the most beneficial of all 4-H experiences! This could be your year to try it! There is a great deal of information about how to prepare your presentation at http://4h.unl.edu/presentationscontest. The South Panhandle Presentation Contest is set for Thursday, June 13, at 10 a.m., SPNRD, 551 Parkland Drive, Sidney. Contact Cynthia Gill if you need help or more information.
9:00 am Jun 19thAdvanced Photography Workshop in Sidney Heather Hausmann Photography Studio
Let Heather Hausmann's Photography studio teach students how to use their settings on their camera and show the students how to pick out good photos taken on their camera. The class will begin on Wednesday, June 19 at 9:00 and go until 11:00. We will break for lunch on your own and then resume class at 1:00 to 3:00. During this time Heather will print photos for the students and then show them how to mount the photos. The cost of the class is $10 and will take up to 10 students ages 10 and up. Please meet at Heather's studio for this workshop.

This camp is for youth entering 4th-6th grades. Youth will learn fishing, outdoor cooking, and have an afternoon of swimming.
10:00 am Jun 25th4-H Gardening Workshp at Ricky & Lucy's Greenhouse Ricky & Lucy's Greenhouse
Come have fun at our Gardening Workshop! Learn how to plant tomatoes, pick berries and dry herbs at Ricky and Lucy's on Tuesday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m. The students will learn how to make a healthy lunch by picking vegetables from Ricky and Lucy's garden. The cost of the workshop is $10 and each student will need transportation to the workshop. The class will take up to 10 students ages 8 and up. Contact Chanda DeMasters for more information.
