SUMMARY:Order of the Engineer
DESCRIPTION:Graduating seniors and graduate students (May, August or Decem
 ber 2012) can join the Order of the Engineer: an association of engineers
  dedicated to the teaching, administration, or practice of their professi
 on. Those initiated adhere to a professional creed and accept a stainless
  steel ring to be worn on the working hand. The obligation is voluntary a
 nd for life.  Engineers joining must be graduates of an ABET-accredited i
 nstitution, such as UNL College of Engineering; construction management a
 nd engineering technology students are not eligible to join.\n\nA one-tim
 e initiation fee for the Order of the Engineer is $20.  Some of the proce
 eds support the Mathcounts program, which encourages middle school studen
 ts to pursue math studies and careers in engineering.  \n\nParticipants s
 hould attend: \n	\n1. INFO SESSION - April 16 (Stop by for a few minutes,
  1:30-4:30 p.m. in Othmer Lobby to confirm ring sizing and confirm correc
 t name spelling for certificate.)\n\nAND\n\n2. INITIATION CEREMONY - Apri
