 g.\n\nFormula SAE promotes careers and excellence in engineering as it en
 compasses all aspects of the automotive industry including research, desi
 gn, manufacturing, testing, developing, marketing, management and finance
 s. Formula SAE takes students out of the classroom and allows them to app
 ly textbook theories to real-work experiences.\n\nThe 2013 Formula SAE ev
 ent, its second year in Lincoln, offers opportunities to see more than 80
  teams from around the world (including the University of Nebraska-Lincol
 n) compete in driving and static activities. The event brings 1,000+ gues
 ts to Nebraska.
