Nebraska 4-H will provide a series of hands-on training this fall for several new curricula that will be available for 4-H members in 2010. Training will be held in each Extension district with the following projects covered at each: Wildlife Conservation Amphibians Insectigator i 2 i (cultural competence) Design Decisions Quilt Quest CD Fast Foods CD
1:00 pmGuardianship / Consuervator Education - Lincoln County UNL West Central District Center
Fulfills Guardian/Conservator education requirements set by the Nebraska Probate Code. Classes are approved by Nebraska Supreme Court. University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension offers quarterly Guardian/Conservator education classes in all Judicial Districts other than Douglas County*. Monthly classes are offered in Lancaster County. This class provides participants with detailed information in serving as Guardian or Conservator for others. Most classes are co-taught by a volunteer attorney through the Nebraska State Bar Association who answers general legal questions. Please call local contact person at least two days ahead of date of training. Registration fee is $15 cash/check payable to University of Nebraska-Lincoln at the class.

Parents Forever is an educational course for all parents who are involved in divorce, custody modification, or who never married but are seeking custody.
5:45 pm-7:30 pmFamily Night - "Message Behind the Behavior" St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church
This presentation will include common behaviors that families have to deal with, including such things as lying, tantrums, sleep problems, and food issues. Presented by nancy Thompson, MS LMHP Child & Family Therapist/Consultant. Location and meal provided by St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward.
