Co-Parenting for Successful Kids is an unbiased, research based education class designed to help separating and divorcing parents cope with divorce and custody. Parents learn to answer the children's questions and keep their children safe and out of their conflict. Co-Parenting for Successful Kids strengthens communication skills that can improve interactions with children and the other parent.
7:00 pm-8:00 pmSummer Solstice Lecture Lauritzen Gardens
The 2012 Summer Solstice Lecture and Celebration will feature Neil Diboll, a pioneer in the native plant industry who is recognized internationally as an expert on the ecology and horticultural uses of prairie plants.
Neil has been president of Prairie Nursery in Westfield, Wisconsin since 1982, one of the country’s premier native plant nurseries. A recent profile in The American Gardener magazine dubbed him “the prophet of the prairie.” Neil lectures widely and has written The Gardener’s Guide to Prairie Plants, to be published in 2013. His
presentation will feature the showiest and best-behaved prairie wildflowers and grasses for gardens and landscapes in Nebraska and the Midwest.
The café will be open for dinner prior to the lecture from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. After the lecture, a light dessert reception will be served and attendees will have the opportunity to meet and visit with Neil.
Cost of the lecture is $10 for members and $14 for non-members. Space is limited. Please call (402) 346-4002, ext. 201 or e-mail m.sears@omahabotanicalgardens.org to register and make payment by June 19.
