Happy Orchard: A Fun, Educational App Designed to Support Pollinators, Communities and Your Happiness!
Presented by: Dr. Connie & Dr. Deb, Special Guests from Nebraska Extension at the Kimmel Education & Research Center

Ready to grow happiness? Then, join us for an interactive Happy Orchard experience. Happy Orchard is a gaming App designed to help people learn more about pollinators and their relationship to food production. Gamers also learn about the importance of pollination on local economies and communities. Happy Orchard launched with a grant from the Richard P. and Laurine Kimmel Charitable Foundation and a local foods grant from the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. We deeply appreciate this start-up support! Now, it’s time for Happy Orchard to grow, and we need your help.
Come to KHN and play Happy Orchard. Have fun growing your mind and happiness while learning how you can help make pollinators happy too!

Happy Orchard is the inspiration of Dr. Connie Reimers-Hild, an Extension Educator who teaches leadership (and a former entomologist), and Dr. Deb Weitzenkamp, an Extension Educator and expert at making Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) super fun! Happy Orchard is a project that involves partners from the University of Nebraska, the Kimmel Education and Research Center (where Dr. Connie and Dr. Deb work) and MoveCreative.

Nebraska Extension, a division of the University of Nebraska, helps people by creating research-based educational products and programs. Dr. Connie and Dr. Deb work at the Kimmel Education and Research Center (KimmelTV.og) located at Kimmel Orchard in Nebraska City, NE. Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard Educational Foundation (KimmelOrchard.org), also known as Kimmel Orchard, is dedicated to ag education, research, and historic preservation. Kimmel Orchard is the destination for fresh, locally-grown produce and other home-grown Nebraska products. A trip to Kimmel is a fun, educational experience and happy time for the whole family—just as the founders, Richard P. and Laurine Kimmel, envisioned.
