“This program will take a closer look at fall color…highlighting some plants that are often overlooked,” said presenter Justin Evertson. “When October arrives and the weather cools, it’s easy to fall in love with a sugar maple morphing through a bright display of oranges, yellows and reds. But just about every plant changes color in the fall and many fly under the radar of noticeability competing against the more brightly colored showoffs.”
Anyone wishing to listen in can take part online at: connect.unl.edu/brownbag. The presentations are also available afterwards at arboretum.unl.edu/brown-bags. This is part of a brown-bag series on “all things green” sponsored by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, UNL Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, UNL Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, UNL Garden Friends and Friends of Maxwell Arboretum.
