| Description: | In celebration of spring, join the UNL Wind Ensemble for a concert of nostalgic portraits and fresh outlooks. In remembrance of days gone by: Morton Gould’s Symphony for Band - West Point, and a pair of miniatures from Charles Ives including “The Alcotts” from Piano Sonata No. 2 and March No. 6 - Here’s to Good Old Yale. In anticipation of days yet to come: Aaron Copland’s An Outdoor Overture, and the Nebraska premieres of Jonathan Newman’s delicate As the Scent of Spring Rain, and Steve Bryant’s boisterous Stampede. Tickets: General admission $5, student/senior $3, available at the door approx. one hour before the performance. |
