10:00 am-11:15 am“Building the Revenue Bridge” Farm Bill Update Agricultural Research & Development Center, near Mead

UNL Extension has teamed up with Iowa State Extension to help producers obtain a better understanding of the new farm bill.  Producers will learn how the changes and provisions in the bill will impact their operations.

The “Building the Revenue Bridge” – Farm Bill Update program will be presented via an interactive videoconference on March 9 at the UNL’s Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead.  The program runs from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Registration begins at 9:30 at the August. N. Christenson Research & Education Building.

This program is part of the UNL Extension & Farmers & Ranchers College series.

Presenters include Brad Lubben, UNL Public Policy Specialist and Steve Johnson, ISU Farm & Ag Business Management Specialist.

Topics include: crop insurance, marketing, farm bill put into action, ACRE, and SURE.  There will also be time for questions during the meeting.

Fulfills Guardian/Conservator education requirements set by the Nebraska Probate Code. Classes are approved by Nebraska Supreme Court. University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension offers quarterly Guardian/Conservator education classes in all Judicial Districts other than Douglas County*. Monthly classes are offered in Lancaster County. This class provides participants with detailed information in serving as Guardian or Conservator for others. Most classes are co-taught by a volunteer attorney through the Nebraska State Bar Association who answers general legal questions. Please call local contact person at least two days ahead of date of training. Registration fee is $15 cash/check payable to University of Nebraska-Lincoln at the class.
