Are you interested in poultry or livestock judging. Here's your chance to take it all in and compete in contests all in one day! Poultry clinic/contest registration begins at 10 with the clinic starting at 10:15 am. There will be a lunch break from noon to 12:30 pm and meals will be available on site for an additional cost. The poultry contest will kick-off at 12:30 pm and run until 2 pm with awards to follow. After that the livestock judging clinic begins at 2:30 and runs until 4:30. The livestock judging contest begins at 5:15 and continues until 6:15 pm. Supper will be from 6:15 until 6:45 and meals are available on site for an additional cost. Oral reasons start at 6:45 pm and run until 7:15 pm with awards to follow. Looks like a great time.
Each participant will make 2-3 gardens to put on their patio including a butterfly garden and cactus garden. There will be a field trip to UNL and the local garden store. $10 fee.
Cass County 4-H swine exhibitors planning to show hogs at the State Fair and selling to Hormel are required to attend this training or the one on June 11. This training will also qualify youth to show any species of livestock if they have missed the training at their 4-H club.
