SUMMARY:UNL Extension Program - Crop Management Diagnostic Clinic
DESCRIPTION:\nAgribusiness  professionals and crop producers will take a c
 lose-up look at field conditions,  research and techniques at the Univers
 ity of Nebraska-Lincoln's midsummer Crop  Management Diagnostic Clinics J
 uly 22-23.\n  The  UNL Extension clinics begin each day with 7:30 a.m. re
 gistration at the  Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead
  and start at 8 a.m.  Participants will meet at the August N. Christenson
  Research and Education  Building.\n  Participants  can attend one or bot
 h of the clinics as subject matter will be different each  day.\n  The  J
 uly 22 clinic topics include: in-depth soybean cyst nematode (SCN) manage
 ment ; crop protection/weed issues/Goss’s wilt;  troubleshooting corn s
 tand problems; Stax and more Stax: making a smart choice;  irrigation - n
 itrogen management; and benchmarking corn water productivity in  irrigate
 d and rainfed systems and how to use this information.\n  The  July 23 to
 pics include: crop disasters, late planting and tough choices;  tailoring
  weed management strategies for your field; improving nutrient  managemen
 t; alfalfa disease management; optimizing yield in irrigated soybean  sys
 tems; and how can weather forecasts be so wrong, so often?\n  Six  Certif
 ied Crop Adviser credits have been applied for and are pending approval  
 for each clinic.\n  Presenters  include UNL faculty and private industry 
 agronomists.\nEarly  registration is recommended to reserve a seat and re
 source materials. Cost for  one clinic is $145 for those registering one 
 week in advance and $195 after.  Cost for both clinics is $255 one week i
