The workshop is designed to assist land owners, tenants, and other agri-business professionals with issues related to farmland management, and leasing arrangements.
Participants will receive a set of materials about farm lease arrangements. Topics include: trends in farmland values and cash lease values, good lease communications, writing a good lease, and Flexible cash leases
7:00 pmNebraska Nursery & Landscape Association Fall/Winter Business Seminars DaVincis
We listened to the feedback that was received from attendees during the summer seminars to identify topics of interest for the fall and winter seminars series. Employee issues seemed to be the topics of interest, from how to manage people and work with different personalities to legal issues related to employees. The business seminars are beneficial for all levels of employers and employees. The seminars are interactive so attendees also learn from each other about how they have addressed different situations.

We will also be offering additional business seminars during the 2013 Nebraska GREAT PLAINS Conference on February 18-19 at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln.

October 17, Managing People
Presenter Bob Bauerle, Nebraska Golf and Turf, was a founder of Leadership Resources and has offered leadership education sessions since he retired as a high school football coach in 1984. He understands the many aspects of the horticulture industry and its challenges.

November 14 Alphabet Soup... ADA, FMLA, ADEA, Workers' Compensation and other labor issues.
Presenter James Hamilton, In-house legal counsel for Lincoln Electric System, will cover Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Workman’s Compensation and other labor issues that affect employers and employees.

Co-Parenting for Successful Kids is an unbiased, research-based education class designed to help separating and divorcing parents cope with divorce and custody. Parents learn to answer the children's questions and keep their children safe and out of their conflict. Co-Parenting for Successful Kids strengthens communication skills that can improve interactions with children and the other parent. The goal of Co-Parenting for Successful Kids is to develop respectful, responsive and responsible co-parenting.
