A Soybean/Corn Disease Update and Field Tour is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24 in Nemaha County. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. at the UNL soybean disease research site just east of Auburn at Ryan Beccard’s soybean field just south of the intersection of Highway 136 and Half Breed Road. At this site UNL Soybean Plant Pathologist Loren Giesler will discuss soybean diseases. The second stop will be at the 4-H Building on the Nemaha County Fairgrounds where dinner will be served and Tamra Jackson-Ziems, UNL Extension Corn Plant Pathologist, will present information on corn diseases. This field day is free and while registration is not required, we would appreciate that people register by Monday. Aug. 22 so we can get a meal count.
