Joe Starita will do a reading for faculty and staff from his book, "I Am A Man," which tells the story of Chief Standing Bear. The reading, at 9 a.m., will be held in the Hitchcock Center.
Ad Hudler, a 1986 UNL grad, will give a book reading and sign copies of his newest book "Man of the House" at Lee Booksellers April 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Hudler is a stay-at-home dad, author and small-space landscaper who lives with his family in Fort Myers, Fla. His controversial, comic novels, printed in multiple languages, include "Househusband," "Southern Living," "All This Belongs to Me," and most recently, "Man of the House." Before writing fiction, Hudler was an award-winning writer fro metro newspapers and national magazines. He says of his books, "Most of my material is pure journalism, masquerading as fiction."
A product of a five-generation newspaper family in Eastern Colorado, Hudler last year was a guest lecturer at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He blogs daily at his Web site, AdHudler.com and is currently at work on a collection of humorous essays.
