The UNL chapter of PRSSA would like to cordially invite you to attend "An Evening of Etiquette: Surviving the Social Business Scene." The event will be held Tuesday, April 7 at 6:30-7:45 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Van Brunt Visitors Center, located at 313 North 13th Street. The etiquette event will focus on teaching students how to behave in a social business setting. Topics such as introductions, remembering names, conversing while eating and much more will be discussed. We have invited a variety of campus organizations, including professional and international groups, to attend as well. After a presentation on the "do's" and "don'ts" of business behavior, we'll all have the chance to mingle and network while sampling appetizers from the buffet and punch table.
As the savvy business professionals that you are, we're asking that you help identify common mistakes and contribute your personal tips on the subject during the networking. Maybe you'll even learn a thing, or two! We hope to provide a venue where students can not only learn these techniques, but also practice new skills and interact with fellow students and professionals. Social etiquette can be quite a daunting task across a multifaceted business world, from culture-to-culture and among industries, so we really need your help as experienced professionals.
