Ellen Hirst will complete spot assignments for an additional scholarship award of up to $5,000.

Hirst is one of 29 journalism students to compete in the 52nd annual Hearst Journalism Awards Program.

The Championship is held in San Francisco, June 4 - 8, 2012.
