The purpose of New Student Enrollment is to provide students with a smooth and helpful transition to college life. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln requires undergraduate freshmen and transfer students who are admitted to attend the New Student Enrollment Program prior to their enrollment at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. While attending the on campus experience is optimal, there is an off campus (mail-in) option available to students residing more than 300 miles from Lincoln.

What to expect from your New Student Enrollment experience:

1. Learn about the requirements for your college
2. Meet with an academic adviser to develop a course schedule
3. Register for classes
4. Obtain your NU ID card ( Go to the New Student Time Saver link at http://ncard.unl.edu/timesaver/ )
5. Learn about programs and issues related to success
