Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association will host a two day refresher course of basic introduction to criminal law topics: 1)Criminal Procedures in Nebraska: What gets filed where, preliminary hearings rules, etc.;2) another speaker may be from the Supreme Court talking about appellate procedures, brief writing tips, etc.;3) basic trial how tos:voire dire, openings, direct & cross;4) may be a panel of court administrators talking about how to get court appointments, track bills etc.; an ethics seminar about billing & frequently arising problems; and 5) sentencing and/or collateral consequences.
