The Chiara String Quartet is excited to be making their East Campus Debut on March 18, when they will perform a concert at the College of Law on East Campus as a part of the quartet’s annual Hixson-Lied Concert Series.

The program, called Chiara Quartet Plays by Heart on East Campus, will feature works by Bartok and Brahms played by memory. Bartok’s 2nd String Quartet, with its beautifully shifting textures and North African rhythms, will share the bill with Brahms’ stunning quartet in C minor. The Chiara Quartet will also share the story of their journey towards playing without printed music and music stands. The group will give a lunchtime teaser concert on Monday March 9, also at the College of Law. The event will be in McCollum Hall, located at 1875 N. 42nd Street, with parking available in the lot south of the building. The event is free and open to the public.
