The Great Plains Art Museum will open a new exhibit on its main floor gallery on Aug. 1 titled “Narrow All Horizons – Selected Works from the Permanent Collection and Recent Photographs by Jan Christensen.”

Striking images by Lincoln photographer Christensen compliment an array of paintings, photographs, and prints from the museum’s collection. Highlighting artworks with low horizon lines and expansive vistas, the exhibition celebrates the endless skyline characteristic of Great Plains landscapes.

The exhibit’s opening reception will take place on First Friday, Aug. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. Christensen will give an artist talk at 6 p.m. during the reception. The exhibit runs through December 21.
