Hosted by Don Wilhite\n Dr. Gene Whitney is Assistant Director for the Environment, White House Office of Science and Technology (OSTP). His wo rk focuses on the science and technology policy aspects of earth sciences , natural hazards and disasters, energy, water, land remote sensing, envi ronment, and natural resources. He is co-Chair of the U.S. Group on Earth Observations and is OSTP liaison to the U.S. Climate Change Science Prog ram.
