Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. A series of events are planned throughout Nebraska during the week of November 9-15, 2009, with that goal in mind.

This year Nebraska 4-H youth are encouraged to join in the campaign by participating in a piggy bank pageant, Lil Green coloring page contest, or developing a 4-H savings power point. Details for the contests are found on the State 4-H website. Entries are due by October 15, 2009, via email to lmanning1@unl.edu to be considered to receive a savings bond which will be given to the top entry in each of the three contests.
