A 2-day conference will be held January 14 and 15 at UNL’s Animal Science Complex in Lincoln. Robin Frid, successful horseman, will cover Showmanship, Trail, Western Horsemanship, and English Equitation during the conference. Other speakers will discuss horse health. The two day 2012 Horsin Around conference is open to participants of all ages.
Registration for the event opens Dec. 1 and closes Jan. 7. The 2012 conference is limited to the first 450 paid registrations. Adult registration is $30 for the weekend or $20 for one day. For youth 18 and under, registration is $20 for both days and $15 for one. If the clinic doesn't sell out, adult registration will be available at the door for $40 for the weekend and $25 for one day. Youth registration at the door will be $30 for the weekend and $20 for one day. Seating will be assigned by section on a first-come, first-served basis.

A 4-H club called Teen Royals has been created! This is a social club aimed at keeping Douglas/Sarpy 4-H'ers connected with each other. It is for kids 13-18 years of age.
Activities: Sledding/ice skating and hot coco while learning about the standard of perfection for Rabbits
Need to bring: Warm clothes, sledding, and money for warm drinks
Community Service: Bring clothes and hats to donate (can be used but in good condition)
