SUMMARY:Soybean Management Field Days
DESCRIPTION:Soybean Management Field Days offer  producers unbiased and re
 search-based information to improve their soybean  profitability.  The ev
 ent consists of four field  stops across the state, each with demonstrati
 on plots, lunch and time for  questions.  Producers can obtain ideas  and
  insight about the challenges they face in producing a quality crop at a 
  profitable price in today's global economy.\nThe field days are sponsore
 d by the  Nebraska Soybean Board in partnership with Extension in the Uni
 versity’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and  are funde
 d through checkoff dollars.\n  2009 locations and dates include:\n\n  Tue
 sday,	August 11	- Cappel Farms - McCook, NE\n  Wednesday,	August 12 - Dou
 g Boldt Farm - Upland, NE\n  Thursday,	August 13 - Doug Wrede Farm - Gree
 ley, NE\n  Friday,	August 14 - Mel and Matt Bailey Farm - Schuyler, NE\n\
 nBy participating in the Soybean Management Field Days, producers will se
 e their checkoff dollars at work bringing leading technology and ideas to
  producers.   	\nTopics  include: Soybean Row Spacing,  Plant Population,
  Planting Date and Water Management; Managing New and Emerging  Disease, 
 Insect and Weed Problems; Nutrient Management Issues for Soybean  Product
 ion; and Making Crop Yield and Price Decisions.\nPresenters include unive
 rsity specialists, educators and industry consultants. 	Agronomists, plan
 t disease, and insect specialists will be available to address production
 -related questions.  Participants can bring unknown crop problems for com
 plimentary identification. \n The field days begin at 9 a.m. and conclude
  at 2:30 p.m. Free registration is available the day of the event. \nFor
