Midwest ClariFest, hosted by Dr. Diane Barger, Hixson-Lied Professor of Clarinet, is an outreach mission of the Glenn Korff School of Music’s Clarinet Studio that serves a community of state and regional clarinetists from junior high through college age, as well as teachers and band directors. Celebrating its 20th year, Midwest ClariFest 2017 features guest artist Dr. Stephanie Zelnick from the University of Kansas.

Throughout the day various clarinet-related activities are featured including:
• a morning kick-off recital featuring Dr. Zelnick
• master class sessions
• A presentation by D’Addario Reserve Method Artist Dr. Larkin Sanders
• Informal discussions
• Performances by area clarinetists in the final Potpourri Recital

The event is free to all participants and includes a boxed luncheon provided by the host. For more information, please contact Dr. Barger at dbarger1@unl.edu or visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1541728372810895/.
