National Quilting Day 2017 is a FREE community quilting event that includes admission to the galleries, demonstrations, lectures and tours.

Lecture Schedule
– 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.: Care for Your Sewing Machine by Paul of Sew Creative
– 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.: “Quilt Japan” exhibition by Marin Hanson of the IQSCM
– 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.: National Parks Quilts by Cynthia of Fiber Works
– 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.: Nebraska 150 Quilt Competition

Other events include:
– Learn about Monoprinting from Fiber Works members
– Up Cycling Demonstrations by Lincoln Modern Quilt Guild members
– Discover Nebraska from Lincoln Quilters Guild
– Go Tell It at the Quilt Museum – schedule an interview about your special quilt, a project of The Quilt Alliance
– Collection Care in Action with collections volunteers in the Dillow Conservation Workroom

Free parking is available in all university parking lots north of Quilt House and across the street at Hardin Hall. Ala carte lunch will be available for purchase.
