The event will include an opening reception for “Collection Critters,” which showcases Great Plains animals, from bison and horses to cranes and dogs. The animals are presented in sculpture, prints, photographs and paintings, all of which are part of the museum’s permanent collection.

Activities will include matching paw prints to animals in the exhibition, and free food.

Admission to the museum is always free. Parking is available in the Que Place parking garage at 11th and Q streets.
