Prairie Pines, a 145-acre habitat established in 1959 by Walter Thaine Bagley, a Nebraska forestry associate professor, and his wife, Virginia, will hold a fall festival with a family scavenger from hunt 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 11.

The event will include instruction on creating a fall floral arrangement. Refreshments will be provided by Kinetic Brew.

Trails through Prairie Pines will be open for wandering from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Parking is limited: those attending are encouraged to carpool if possible. Prairie Pines is a wild, natural place so appropriate clothing and closed toe footwear is encouraged.
