Linda Lopez and Cristina Córdova will lead a ceramics discussion at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in Richards Hall.

The talk, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the School of Art, Art History and Design, and the University of Nebraska Clay Club.

Lopez received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado. She has exhibited her work in New Zealand and throughout the United States. Lopez has been an artist in residence at The Clay Studio and the Archie Bray Foundation and is represented by Mindy Solomon Gallery.

Córdova lives and works in Penland, North Carolina. She received a Master of Fine Arts in ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred. Córdova has taught at Penland School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School, Santa Fe Clay, Mudfire, Odyssey Center for Ceramics and Anderson Ranch. She is founder of Travel Arte, a platform that provides educational experiences within the ceramics medium while immersing students in the creative culture of a specific setting.
