Nebraska’s Big Red Singers and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform in a 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 concert in Kimball Recital Hall.

Tickets, available at the door, are $3 for students and senior citizens, and $5 general admission. The performance will also be streamed live online at https://arts.unl.edu/music.

Directed by Nick McGraw with Peter Eklund, professor of music, as faculty adviser, the Big Red Singers is an ensemble featuring some of the university’s finest musicians. The group serves as an ambassador to the choral area of the School of Music.

The Vocal Jazz Ensemble is directed by David von Kampen, a lecturer in the School of Music. The group is a small choir instructed in jazz style, ensemble singing, lyric delivery, solos and improvisation. The ensemble performs arrangements of standard and contemporary jazz repertoire in collaboration with a rhythm section.
