The Department of History at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will host Prague Spring 50, a major international event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Prague Spring and the effects of the Soviet-ordered Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968.
From 4:30 to 6:30 on April 3 in the Abbott Auditorium at the Sheldon Art Museum we will kick off this exciting, once-in-a-lifetime event with a welcoming by Chancellor Ronnie Green, remarks from Ambassador Hynek Kmoní?ek, and an incredible speach from our Keynote speaker, Michael Žantovský!
This event will set the tone for a week filled with exciting, moving, and memorable talks and exhibitions! It is free and open to the public, though we encourage you to register on our Eventbrite page!
