The goal of the Ag Awareness Coalition is to help youth, primarily from urban communities, become aware of agriculture. The group develops resources and opportunities that will increase youth understanding and awareness about agricultural concepts.
The Ag Literacy Festival is a one-day field trip designed specifically for 4th graders. The interactive tour stops will help students gain a greater understanding of agriculture and how it impacts their daily lives.
About the Festival…
As communities continue to urbanize, youth are losing touch
with Nebraska’s greatest resource—AGRICULTURE. The Ag Awareness Coalition seeks to bring youth back in touch with agriculture by hosting agricultural awareness festivals.
