The Symphonic Band opens its 2018-19 season with a celebration of the music of Leonard Bernstein in honor of the centennial of his birth. The program, titled “Lenny”, explores the breadth of output from one of the best musical minds in American history. Music from the Broadway stage and motion pictures along with serious concert music and novelty pieces will be featured. Join Director, Tony Falcone and Graduate Assistant Conductor, Sarah Aymond on Tuesday, October 9.

The Symphonic Band has the distinction of being the band program’s top symphonic ensemble. Its select mission is to provide instrumentalists with an opportunity to demonstrate and develop the techniques and musical instincts appropriate to a symphonic setting. With an emphasis on the distinctive characteristics of the large wind and percussion ensemble, the Symphonic Band’s repertoire is culled from the rich resources of the wind band tradition.

General Admission $5; Students/Seniors $3
