Don’t miss this one, postdocs and graduate students! You’re reminded often of the importance of developing the skill sets required for their chosen careers, and successfully demonstrating those skills on CVs and during interviews. It’s also important to distinguish oneself from others who have mastered the same skills, and how to do that is not always clear.

In this workshop, you’ll first identify your innate qualities and the unique contributions you bring to your work. You’ll complete two self-assessments to 1) identify core motivating priorities and 2) clarify your talents and strengths. Then, using provided language that describes priorities and talents, you’ll begin developing individual value statements to help you effectively communicate your unique value. The information and insight gained from this workshop will benefit anyone needing to best articulate their professional uniqueness and set themselves apart from the competition.

For graduate students, postdocs, and faculty; registration is requested: go.unl.edu/pdrf

Presented by Dr. Diane Klotz from the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute.
