What does it mean to be first gen? You are identified as a first generation student if your parents or guardians do not have a 4-year college or university degree, regardless of other family member’s levels of education. Congratulations! Being a first generation college student is something be incredibly proud of despite the often unique challenges. You are amazing!

Come celebrate the firsts - stop by our booth for Free First Gen T-shirts, Swag items, Postcard Station, and the Share Your First Gen Story Banner.

Supported by: First-Year Experience & Transition Programs, University Housing, Learning Communities, First Generation Nebraska (FGN), UNL First Generation Student Organization and the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services.
