November 10, 2018: Prairie Pines Celebrates Fall with a Kaleidoscope of Activities 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Keep your eyes open and discover the PPNP on the 3rd annual Nature Scavenger Hunt with fun for the whole family! Follow clues to discover nature parts and places at Prairie Pines. Take a look into the beautiful, big kaleidoscopes from the ArtReach Project that will be on display. Visitors can learn to carve a wooden spoon with woodworker Joseph Holmes. No woodworking experience required, but please preregister at info@prairiepines.org by November 4. Or, create a Fall floral arrangement in a decorator wooden box with the help of design experts. Return in December to refill for free. There is a cost of $40 for materials for the spoon-making and/or the floral decorator box. If that’s not enough check out an exhibit by UNL Graphic Arts class that created fun Prairie Pines maps! Coffee and smoothies available for purchase. Prairie Pines trails and Nature Ninja course open from 8 AM - 5 PM. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, no pets.
