Dr. Kim TallBear is Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Peoples, Technoscience & Environment, University of Alberta. She is an enrolled member of the Sisseton-Waheton Oyate Tribe and one of the leading experts on the use of DNA science and Native American heritage. She was recently in the news commenting on Senator Elizabeth Warren’s use of DNA to validate (or not) her Native American heritage.
