“The Mammoth In Our Closet” will be presented by Kate Lyons, assistant professor, School of Biological Sciences.

As recently as 14,000 years ago, North America had a mammalian fauna that was richer than that of present day Africa and included mega-mammals such as mammoths, mastodons, lions, cheetah, giant ground sloths, giant camels, saber tooth tigers, short-faced bears, giant armadillos, giant beavers, and more. Come and learn about this lost world and why they are no longer with us.

Free event for ages 21+. Cash bar available. Food available for purchase from the The Gilded Swine.
