The Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform a series of contemporary arrangements for voices and rhythm section, including “Waltz for Debby” by Bill Evans, arranged by Swedish vocalist and arranger Anders Edenroth. Other selections include the standard “For All We Know” (arranged by Peter Eldridge), “A Boy Like You,” (composed and arranged by Amanda Taylor), and “Hanging On” by
the contemporary duo KNOWER, arranged by VJE director David von Kampen. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble performance will follow a set from the Graduate Jazz Combo.

The University’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble is a small choir, open to all members of the University community by audition. Students are instructed in jazz style, ensemble singing, lyric delivery, solos and improvisation.
