The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln hosts the Seventh Annual Huskers for Hearing 5K Fun Run on East Campus. Proceeds from the event support HearU Nebraska and the SAA.
HearU Nebraska is an organization that provides assistance to families who cannot afford hearing aids and the cost accompanied with the devices for their children ages birth to 18 years old. The average cost of a set of hearing aids is $4,000 with additional costs that can include batteries, ear pieces, and maintenance. This high cost can prevent families from being able to get their child the amplification they need.
Cost:
$35 for ages 8 and above, includes water bottle
FREE for ages 7 and under
$40 for virtual run option
