Renowned activist Peggy Deamer, professor emerita of Yale University’s School of Architecture; principal in the firm of Deamer, Studio; and founding member and research coordinator of the Architecture Lobby, will be giving the first Hyde Lecture of the season titled “The Work of Architectural Work.” Deamer will examine the importance of understanding the nature of architectural work subjectively, institutionally and economically. She will also explore the work of activism and its importance in making our architectural work function better for ourselves and society.

This presentation is part of the College of Architecture’s 2019-2020 Hyde Lecture Series featuring speakers from across disciplines that are united under the common theme of “OUR WORK / YOUR WORK - Designing and Planning For Political Engagement.”
