Joseph Krings will be the featured speaker at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts’ IGNITE Colloquium. IGNITE is open to students, university faculty and staff and the Lincoln community.

Krings is an editor of narrative and documentary films. Captain Fantastic, won Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival and earned an Oscar nomination for star Viggo Mortensen. His most recent film, After the Wedding, starring Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams, was the Opening Night film at this year’s Sundance Festival. In documentary, Supermensch, directed by Mike Myers, won Best Documentary at the Hollywood Film Awards and was nominated for an Emmy. Now living in New York City, he is a native of Albion, Nebraska, and graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1998.
