Presented by Ignatius Kadoma, Ph.D., Advanced Manufacturing Technology Specialist, 3M Film & Materials Resource Division. Polyethylene plastic films are commonly used for agricultural applications, including vegetable production, to control weed growth and conserve soil moisture. Concerns over disposal of petroleum-based plastics, however, have some growers seeking sustainable alternatives. In this seminar, learn about a novel, bio-based approach to weed control in organic vegetable crops and the innovation process used to develop it.
Co-hosted by Sam Wortman, argonomy and horticulture, and Nebraska Innovation Studio.
