“Staphylococcus aureus biofilms induce a maladaptive immune response: implications for infection persistence,” will be presented by Dr. Tammy Kielian, University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Kielian is a UNL alumna and Choudari Kommineni, DVM, PhD Professor of Pathology at UNMC in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology. In 2016, Dr. Kielian was named the 11th UNMC Science Laureate, the highest honor UNMC bestows to researchers.
Refreshments will be served at 3:30 p.m.
